Caberfae Peaks is the most family friendly, customer oriented resort in Northern Michigan and offers a relaxed home-spun atmosphere. There is ample parking close to the ski hill, plenty of room in the 16,0000 square foot day Lodge, conveniently located rental facility located right at the base of the novice ski runs.

When you arrive, first head to the ticket office to purchase your lift tickets and rental forms if you need equipment. If you are interested in lessons, you can sign up for them at the snowsports desk in the rental building.

If you’re not renting equipment, hit the slopes via the Shelter Double Chair, which brings you to mid mountain, where you can start your day. If you are renting equipment, then bring the rental forms that you obtained from the ticket office to the double doors on the left of the rental building (you’ll need a driver’s license as a deposit). You’ll first be fitted with your boots and then head down the hall to get your skis or board. The next station is the snowsports desk where you can sign up for private lessons or for our kids ski and snowboard program Cabby Kids.

Guests of the MacKenzie Lodge, drive right up the semi-circle drive to get checked in. You’ll receive your lift tickets and rental forms from the front desk of the hotel, so there is no need to visit the ticket office.
